Creative Ideas For Planning A Las Vegas Wedding Dinner
|Description||When I think of Las Vegas glitzy girls, bass pumping pool parties, Fremont Streets flashing neon signs and rows of casinos come to mind, but I wanted to see a different side to the city. The Culinary Institute of Las Vegas, which is actually in Henderson, offers lunch from 11:30-1 pm and dinner from 6-8 pm for just $9.95 at the school's restaurant, Opus Too Or try Le Cordon Las Vegas Dinner Shows Bleu College of Culinary Arts, which in Northwest Vegas, which has a 10,000-square-foot restaurant called Café Bleu open for lunch from 11-12:30 Tuesday-Friday and dinner from 6-7:30 pm. Starters range from $7-9, entrees are about $12 and desserts are $6. The Culinary Institute is at 2350 Corporate Circle in Henderson and can be reached by phone at 702/992-8510. |
The dinner was quite enjoyable and there were two napkins and a wet cloth in a sealed holder for cleaning your hands because there are no utensils. The dinner is good, the show is good, and the price is reasonable. Dinner included: tomato soup, Cornish game hen, roasted potatoes, broccoli, a dinner roll and a pop tart shaped apple crisp for desert. Dinner did not include eating utensils as you are forced to drink your soup from a bowl and eat with your hands like the good ole days! In previous shows they didn't, so I am glad to see this happening.
And it runs south from the airport to the South Strip Transfer Center, where you can transfer to the Deuce or SDX buses. A bus ride is a good way to recuperate during those hot summer months after a long and tiring walk on the Strip since the buses are air-conditioned. The RTC operates two routes on Las Vegas Boulevard: the Deuce, a London-style double decker bus, and the Strip and Downtown Express (SDX), an extended-length accordion-style bus. Deuce and SDX buses stop only at marked bus stops on the Strip which all have ticket vending machines where passes must be purchased in advance before boarding.
Just remember to tip the server $1 per drink or the service will quickly dry up. Many bars and vendors along the Strip also sell cheap frozen daiquiris by the yard glass - since you'll rarely be prevented from taking a drink from one casino or bar to the next, it can be a cheap way to have a big night.
We were looking at the lists of shows for Saturday night, and were approached by 3 different staff members at different times while we were deciding, who were all very friendly, but recommended the same show.
